Vacations and Retreats

12 Step Travel. "14 years of group travel with people in the recovery community have provided amazing experiences, breath taking scenery and wonderful adventures. All this, plus a forum of terrific speakers who help us with discovering our own life journey."

Cancun Connection. Traveling to Cancun from April 14 to May 12? AA member would like to meet with others "wanting to stay sober" in the hotel zone. Use the Contact Us form for more information.

NEW! Casa Hamaca, Valladolid, Yucatan, Mexico. "Since there are twelve steps leading up to the main entrance of the Casa Hamaca, any member of any twelve-step program is welcome to visit us in a safe, secure atmosphere. Anyone recovering from surgery, illness, divorce, trauma, separation, grief or abuse is also welcome to spend time with us in a caring, nurturing environment. There are regularly scheduled twelve-step meetings within a few blocks of Casa Hamaca. Structured programs, directly related to recovery, can be offered for groups which do not have their own programing. Volunteer activities are also available separately or as part of a recovery program. Of course, any mix of these activities is also possible depending upon requirements. We can accommodate individuals or small groups up to approximately 38 people (the maximum number depending mostly on male/female ratio) as part of a retreat group. There are 8 rooms that sleep at least 3 people each (2 in beds and 1 in a hammock) as well as two larger rooms with hammock hooks for an additional 14 people. Charter bus service is available to and from either the Merida or the Cancun airport as is scheduled bus transportation. Car and van rentals are available in either airport. Although we are a bed and breakfast, other meals can be provided as needed with advance notice."

Celebrating Sobriety at Sea (web info not currently available) . "We are a committee of people from Founders Day Florida Syle in Tallahassee. We consist of members from all of the Tallahassee AA meeeting places."

NEW! Gingerbread Cottage Bed and Breakfast, Victoria, BC, Canada. "We welcome all varieties of 12 steppers. Daily 7 a.m. AA meeting is just a short stroll away and return to the best Austrian Apple Strudel and hot breakfast. Central to Victoria's downtown and gorgeous scenery, we provide a safe place with lots of hot coffee and conversation, tips on all 12 step  meetings, what to see and how to avoid the tourist traps.

Hull Bay Cottages, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Situated on a crested knoll 850 feet above the Caribbean Sea, Hull Bay Cottages offers some of the most spectacular views imaginable. To the east we look at St. John, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke and numerous barrier islands belonging to both the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. To the north we have the uninterrupted beauty of the ever changing ocean and to the west we have several smaller islands and the western end of St. Thomas.

A sober vacation is one you will remember for the rest of your life. There is a great feeling of comfort while vacationing knowing there are others close by in recovery who also want to live a 'happy, joyous and free' life wherever they are in the world."

Sober Cruises Committee. "The Sober Cruises committee is a organizer of RoundUps for people in recovery programs, AA, Al-Anon, their friends and family members that would like a sober cruise and sober vacation combined with a conference or roundup. You will not only be traveling with people that have a common interest but if you ever needed a boost to your program these RoundUps will inspire and invigorate even the "Eldest Statesman" and reveal to the newer member "the vision" that they will want to be a part of."
